Pediatric occupational therapists assess a child’s ability to complete the many “jobs” or occupations in a child’s life including play, school performance, self help skills and social interactions. Children that may benefit from our services include children with learning disabilities, developmental delays, sensory integration disorders, apraxia, fine motor difficulties, visual perceptual disorders, visual motor or handwriting difficulties, attention deficit, hyperactivity, motor incoordination, autism, pervasive developmental disorder, neuromuscular disorders and head injuries.
Fine Motor/ Visual Motor Skill development
Treatment is individualized to meet the need of each child. Therapy is aimed at the child achieving success through “just right” challenges. Each success is a stepping stone to the next as children learn both skill and develop self confidence.
